Quanteec

Quanteec wins award

After a year 2023 marked by major successes and awards, both in France and internationally, the start-up QUANTEEC, led by Daniel Négru, has reached new milestones. Its innovation in video streaming won it La Tribune's Tech For Future 2024 competition, highlighting its potential to meet tomorrow's economic, societal and environmental challenges.

The solution developed by QUANTEEC stands out for its ability to improve broadcast performance while significantly reducing the costs and energy footprint associated with video streaming.
This major breakthrough for QUANTEEC is part of a wider drive to raise awareness and promote more sustainable practices in the notoriously energy-intensive streaming technology industry. By recognizing the importance of minimizing the environmental costs of digital entertainment, QUANTEEC is paving the way for a future where technology and ecology can coexist harmoniously, offering a model for the industry to follow.

What's it all about?
QUANTEEC offers an innovative technology for video streaming, capable of solving the sizing problems associated with the explosion in demand, while minimizing costs and energy requirements.

How does it work?
The approach is based on peer-to-peer rebroadcasting. A plugin is incorporated into the video players themselves, directly with the broadcasters. This operation is transparent to the viewer. The viewer thus becomes an efficient server for other viewers watching the same program.

Our objective?
QUANTEEC's aim is to change the broadcasting paradigm within the video streaming industry, thanks to its eco-responsible technology that optimizes performance and minimizes broadcasting costs. This innovation is distinguished by a double energy-saving dimension: on the one hand, as soon as it is installed, QUANTEEC reduces the energy consumption of video streaming by up to 45%; on the other, it significantly reduces the need for server infrastructure expansion, by up to 50 times less than current requirements.
