DESCRIPTION:Making synchronous algorithms efficiently self-stabilizing in a
rbitrary asynchronous environments (continued)\n\nThis paper deals with th
 e trade-off between time\, workload\, and versatility in self-stabilizatio
n\, a general and lightweight fault-tolerant concept in distributed comput
ing. In this context\, we propose a transformer that provides an asynchron
ous silent self-stabilizing version Trans(AlgI) of any terminating synchro
nous algorithm AlgI. The transformed algorithm Trans(AlgI) works under the
distributed unfair daemon and is efficient both in moves and rounds. Our t
ransformer allows to easily obtain fully-polynomial silent self-stabilizin
g solutions that are also asymptotically optimal in rounds. We illustrate t
he efficiency and versatility of our transformer with several efficient (i
.e.\, fully-polynomial) silent self-stabilizing instances solving major di
stributed computing problems\, namely vertex coloring\, Breadth-First Sear
ch (BFS) spanning tree construction\, k-clustering\, and leader election.
\n\nThis will be a whiteboard talk with technical details omitted in the f
 irst (overview) talk.\n\n\nhttps://algodist.labri.fr/index.php/Main/GT
